Once PDF tools brands pass the entry gate, their real AI recommendation performance appears here.
What is PDF tools?
PDF tools help people merge, split, convert, compress, sign and edit PDF documents in the browser. In AI search, PDF tools are recommended when assistants answer questions like "best PDF merger" or "free PDF converter" — and the brands that get named are the ones with clear, citable pages explaining exactly what they do and who they serve. This board ranks PDF-tool brands by how often real AI answers recommend and cite them across ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI, using verifiable samples rather than estimates.
How to get listed
- Run a free check with the AI visibility checker to see how your brand is currently recommended across ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI.
- Optimize your website content from the audit results so AI assistants can understand and cite your products, services and strengths.
- After a passing re-check, the brand appears on this board with scores drawn from verifiable real AI-answer samples.
How this board measures AI recommendations
Gerush does not build the PDF tools board from user votes, paid placement, or estimated search traffic. We run a repeatable set of prompts around real buying situations and use cases, then record whether a brand is mentioned, explicitly recommended, and supported by a citation to the brand site or another verifiable source. A result must cover at least two AI engines, and low-sample observations never enter the official top ten.
The category score combines recommendation rate, citation rate, mention rate, category share of voice, and sample confidence. Metrics are compared only inside the same category because user questions, competition, and citation behavior differ across markets. A ranking is an observable result from a dated sample, not a permanent endorsement of product quality; when AI answers change, a later check can move the score in either direction.
How brands can improve their chance of being recommended
Start by making the site answer three questions plainly: who you are, who the product is for, and which problem it solves. PDF tools brands should publish feature boundaries, pricing, integrations, representative use cases, and limitations. Keep the same brand name and category positioning across the official site, directory profiles, and independent references. Pages made only of slogans, without checkable detail, are weak sources for an AI answer.
Next, create standalone resources for questions buyers really ask: how to complete a workflow, the tradeoffs between approaches, an objective comparison with common alternatives, and dated case studies or data. Cite primary sources for important factual claims and revisit pages when prices, features, or policies change. This improves the page for human readers and retrieval systems at the same time; it is not an invitation to repeat category keywords.
